Graduated from the Eötvös High School in 1948. His first images were published in the Alerts, the Art Nouveau, Peace and Freedom, Népszabadság, Nők Lapja, Pravda, Stern. In May 1957, Károly Hemző invited him to the Image Sport, initially as an external co-worker, a lab technician, but he could also photograph. From August 1957 he was finalized as a photographer and columnist at Skill Sport until 1992. He photographed two summers (Munich, Montreal) and one Winter Olympics (Sarajevo). His photographs focusing on the human emotions and struggles of the athletes, but it doesn’t lack humor and philosophical elements. He became known and recognized for his sports photos. In 1964 he is a member of MFSZ . In 1971 he was awarded the AFIAP title, his further honors: Gold Medal of the Hungarian People's Republic 1972. For Socialist Culture in 1989. In 2000 he received the MFSZ Lifetime Award. His pictures were awarded in 1966 at the Interpress Photo Contest in Moscow, where his Futbalett titled photo won second prize. In 1965, he won the Best Sport Photo of the Year at the Ezüstgerely competition. He had several exhibitions. 1972: Sportphotos, Adolf Hall Bright; (The exhibition was traveled by the MFSZ), Sofia; Almási – Hemző – Petrovics sportphotoexhibition in Pecs. In 2000, Péter Korniss opened his exhibition titled Sport Wizard at the Mai Manó House.
