dr. ACZÉL Márta Budapest, 1909 - 1997, Budapest
She studied philosophy in Heidelberg, Berlin, and was a disciple of Károly Mannheim in Frankfurt. Her doctorate was obtained from German literature and art history. Her cousin Kata Kálmán and her husband Iván Hevesy persuade her to study photography, so he came to József Pécsi in 1937. In 1940 he got a master certificate, but because of the Jewish laws he only got smaller orders. Her husband, György Kreilisheim, who was the author of one of the best Hungarian photographic books was killed as a labor servant. She escaped from the deportation and she survived the war in hiding. Perhaps this is due to the fact that this very talented photographer lived quietly at a design company until her retirement.
