István Nagy

28 May 1999 - 31 May 1999

The Kieselbach Gallery's one-man shows - arranged with the exaction of a monograph - were the result of my deliberate decision and mature consideration.
The choice reflected my personal view and individual judgement in each case.
The art of István Nagy occupies an accentuated position in my private collection, too. His clear and settled landscapes and still-lifes, and the portraits he accomplished with dramatic force occupy a worthy well-deserved position among the greatest and most revealing masterpieces of Hungarian painting. 200 works were exhibited by courtesy of of two museums and 25 private collections.
