Béla Czóbel send the painting from Paris to the Brummer Gallery, New York in 1927. The hungarian József Brummer bought this painting with two others on 11 August 1928, then he sold it to a wealthy real estate developer and noted art collector, Alexander M. Bing on 27 January 1937.
