Wallburg Egon
Graphic, painter, caricaturist. He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Budapest. His master was Haranghy Jenő. In 2000 he received the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic, Officer's Cross. His career began as a graphic and limner. After the World War he became the pioneer of the hungarian filmstrip and comic drawing. In 1951 he started to work as the limner of the Füles newspaper, for four decades. He eternized the distinctive details of the old Tabán on an aquarelle series. In the 1950s he appeared in the nationwide exhibitions held in the Kunsthalle Budapest. In 1960 he had a solo exhibition in the Derkovits Hall, and starting in 1981 he exhibited several times in the capital.
