Zimmerman, Albert 1808 - 1888
All of the three of his brothers (Max, Richard and Robert) were painters. His father was a city music director. Albert himself played music in his younger years.
He studied in dresden, then he went to Munich where he established his own landscape-painting shool. He was professor at the Milan Academy from 1857 to 1860, and he also lectured at the Academy of Vienna. The main topics of his art were the Alps and Italy.
