Zilzer, Gyula Budapest, 1898 - 1969, New York
Painter, graphic. He began his studies at the College of Fine Arts in Budapest. His masters were Vaszary János and Csók István. He continues his studies in Milan and Munich. Between 1924 and '32 he learned chalcography in Paris. He migrated to the Unined States in 1932. He began to work at the film factory in Hollywood in 1939. He exhibited his works in Hungary in the Ernst Museum in 1928 and in the Hungarian National Gallery in 1971. He exhibited in Paris, New York, Amsterdam, Switzerland, London, Chicago. His works are guarded in the Metropolitan Museum, the Hungarian National Gallery and the Hungarian Jewish Museum.
