Ziffer, Sándor Eger, 1880 - 1962, Nagybánya
After laying the foundations with an education at the School of Commercial Drawing in 1894, and the Hungarian School of Applied Arts between 185 and 1900, he rounded out his store of knowledge at the Munich Academy and in the private school of Hollósy. He spent some time in Paris with his friend Béla Czóbel in 1906, and travelled from there to Nagybánya. After returning to Munich he opened a school for painters, but the undertaking was short lived as the World War began. He lived mainly in Berlin until 1918, and then settled in Nagybánya, where he became a teacher of the independent school.
