Weininger, Andor Karancs, 1899 - 1986, New York
He began his studies in the artist circle led by Péter Dobrovics in Pécs. At the end of the 1910s he studied architecture at the Technical University in Budapest and in 1921, together with Farkas Molnár and Henrik Stefán, he enrolled in the Bauhaus in Weimar. He was the member of the KURI and a founding member of the Bauhaus music band. He designed costumes, stage sets and furniture. From 1928 he lived in Berlin and in 1938, fearing of Nazism, he fled to Holland. In 1951 he emigrated to Canada and seven years later settled in New York.
