Vaszkó, Erzsébet Nagykikinda, 1902 - 1986, Budapest
A pupil of János Vaszary at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Artsbetween 1925 and 1929. She participated in the exhibitions of UME to the acclaim of critics such as Károly Lyka and Artúr Elek. In the 1940s she kept returning to her place of birth, Máramaros, to work. Her work was shown at the Venice Biennial in 1940. She became a member of the European School in 1945. She went into normal employment in the 1950s and only began painting again after she retired. She worked in Szentendre over many years.
