Szamossy, László Budapest, 1866 - 1909, Bécs

Festő. Édesapja, Szamossy Elek szintén festő volt. Tanulmányait Münchenben és Párizsban folytatta, mestere Munkácsy Mihály volt. Egy évet töltött Nagybányán, majd Olaszországba ment. Hosszas római tartózkodása alatt az ottani elit társaság népszerű portréfestőjévé vált. Arcképeket festett hercegekről és magas rangú egyházi személyekről.
