Strobentz, Frigyes Pest, 1856 - 1929, München
He attended the Technical University of Dresden to begin with but then enrolled in the Dusseldorf Academy of Fine Arts in 1877. He completed his education in Munich, where he settled permanently in 1880. He often worked in the artist colony of Dachau, whose founding members he was among. His drawings were regularly published by the journals Jugend and Simplicissimus. He visited Paris in 1887. He was also frequently in Hungary and sent his works for exhibitions here. He was invited to become a founding member of MIÉNK in 1908. He regularly showed his work in the halls of the Secession in Munich as well as Berlin.
