Schönberger, Armand Galgóc, 1885 - 1974, Budapest
He studied in Munich and Nagybánya.
He painted figural compositions, metropolitan and industrial landscape, still lifes and portraits, but his themes also included the typical places of city entertainment, such as cafés and concerts.
His best period was in the 1930s when his style growing out of Expressionism found points of contact with the structuring principles of Cubism and Futurism.
His career also touching on the work of the Activists in the 1910s was in a long slumber before rediscovery.
