Peterdi, Gábor Budapest, 1915 - 2001, Rowayton (USA)
He appeared to be a prodigy at the age of 15, when he started painting under Gyula Rudnay, Nándor Katona and Rezsô Bálint. In 1929 he worked at the artists colony of Kecskemét, studying under Szônyi for a while. In 1930 he had a one-man show in the Ernst Museum, and went on a study tour to Rome in the same year. In 1932 he moved to Paris, than emigrated to the US in 1939. Besides painting he played a signi.cant role in art pedagogy.
