Paizs-Goebel, Jenő 1896 - 1944
From 1915 to 1916 he attended the stained glass department of the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts, then, at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, he studied under Tivadar Zemplényi and István Réti. In 1916 he took a trip to Nagybánya. In 1924 he won the Marcell Nemes Scholarship and went to work in Paris and Barbizon. In 1926 he painted in Nagybánya again. In the following year he went to Szentendre, where he became one of the founding members of the Society of Szentendre Painters.
