Martinszky, János Ópécska, 1909 - 1949, Mohács
He and his family resettled in Hungary in 1921. From 1928 to 1933 he studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts under Gyula Rudnay, István Bosznai and Dezsô Pécsi Pilch. After graduating he also made sculptures and designed tapestries. From 1936 on he worked in Mohács, the town he lived until he died, as a drawing-teacher. At the beginning of the 1940s he met Ferenc Martyn and began to paint non-.gurative paintings under his in.uence.
