He began his studies at Simon Hollósy, then was a student of Jean-Paul Laurens in Paris. He also worked on the Nagybánya artists colony. After his return, he regularly had exhibitions at the Műcsarnok (Palace of Art) and showed his pictures in the National Salon. He was a member of the KUT. He spent several years in Nuremberg.
