Iványi Grünwald, Béla Somogysom, 1867 - 1940, Budapest
He studied at the Pattern Drawing School under Bertalan Székely and Károly Lotz. Then he came acquainted with Károly Ferenczy and István Csók in Munich. As early as 1887 they enrolled in the Julian Academy together. He returned to Munich to join Simon Hollósy's circle. In 1896 he was among the founding artists of the artists colony of Nagybánya, and a teacher of its painting school. He took part in the organisation of the artists colony of Kecskemét in 1909, becoming the leader of the colony in 1911. Lajos Kassák, János Kmetty and Béla Uitz were among his students.
