Guidici, Luigi de 1887 - 1955
Luigi de Guidici began his studies at Alberti in Venice between 1903 and 1907. In 1910 he went to Paris, London and Holland. He displayed his first picture in Pesaro in 1912, and a year later he exhibited some more pictures there. Marinetti dedicated one of his poems to him in 1913. At this time he steadily had exhibitions, and he became a member of the Union of Young Artists. He promoted the futurist movement as well. In 1921 he married, gave up painting and moved to Oderzo. His second artistic period began around1931, when he settled in Venice again with his family. The painter Alberto Salietta introduced him the trend Novecento. He displayed his works again in Italy and abroad, but after his wife's death in 1938 he gave up painting forever.
