Festő. A 19. század első felében romantikus stílusban festett. A Pesti Műegylet tárlatain mutatta be tájképeit 1840-1842-ben. Pesten a Gresham Palota helyén állt a palotája, amelyet 1833-ban vásárolt. Jókai róla mintázta a Cigánybárót.
