Gadányi, Jenő Budapest, 1896 - 1960, Budapest
Completed the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1923, and was to be found among the young pupils of Vaszary who established the UME in 1925. A study trip to Paris followed in 1927, from which point onwards he participated in the exhibitions of KUT. Was also one of the founding members of the European School in 1945. He taught at the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts for two years beginning in 1946. He had already found residence in Békásmegyer at this point and worked here in the friendly proximity of Kassák from his retirement till 1953. His book entitled Abstract Art was published in 1938, a selection of his unpublished writings were published in 1986.
