Fónyi Friml, Géza Trencsén, 1899 - 1971, Budapest
In 1917 he graduated as a teacher at the Pattern Drawing School in Budapest. From 1917 to 1925 he studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts under Ágost Benkhard and István Réti. In 1926 he went on a study tour to Vienna. Later he worked in Paris, London and Florence as well. In 1936 he won a scholarship to Rome. From 1930 he worked as a drawing teacher. In 1938 he began to teach at the Technical University of Budapest, then, from 1947, he taught at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. He was a member of the artists colony in Szentendre.
