Ferenczy, Valér Körmöcbánya, 1885 - 1954, Budapest
Being the son of Károly Ferenczy, he got an early start in his artistic training. He studied at Nagybánya from 1902, and trained himself at the Munich Academy in 1903, before going on to the private school of Lovis Corinth in Berlin through 1904. In the next two years he studied in the Colorassi School in Paris, and then at the Julian Academy. Following study tours in Italy, he attended the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1911 and 1912. He was a founding member of the MIÉNK group. He moved to Budapest in 1927.
