Fényes, Adolf Kecskemét, 1867 - 1945, Budapest
He began his studies in painting at the Pattern Drawing School in 1884, which he followed up by training in Weimar and at the Julian Academy of Paris. He worked for two years from 1892 in Weimar and then joined the master school of Gyula Benczúr. His art had close ties with Szolnok from 1898, since he was one of the founders of the Artist colony there. Not only involved in establishing Szolnok's traditions, he also played a determinant part in teaching the students of the Academy visiting during the summer. He was a regular at the artist's table of the Japan Coffee House, and was among the founders of the Szinyei Society.
