Döbröczöni, Kálmán Kórós, 1899 - 1966, Miskolc
He was a student of Ágost Benkhard, then later assistant lecturer at the College of Visual Arts. He obtained a scholarship to the Miskolc artist colony studio where he gained substantial plein air experience. He received the so-called "Kéve prize" in 1926 and won a scholarship to Rome in 1933-34. In 1945 he organised a Free Art School in Miskolc. He presented his works at several solo and collective exhibitions. Between 1950-1961 he worked as teacher of figure painting at the College of Art and Design. He was member of the Szentendre artist colony until his death. He was deeply concerned with the fate of the people in the Ormánság, (an area in the south-west of Hungary, left bank of the river Drave).
