Dankó, Ödön 1889 - 1958
He was a student of Pál Horti and Gyula Csizik at the Budapest Pattern Drawing School between 1904 and 1905, of Lajos Mátrai at the School of Applied Arts in 1906, and then studied at the Hungarian Academy of Arts in 1907 and 1908. He designed posters for the Red Army in 1919. He made numerous illustrations for books, designed furniture, interiors and shop-windows, as well as working with ceramics. After 1945 he mainly illustrated school textbooks.
