Czimra, Gyula 1901 - 1966
While working as a technical draftsman he attended evening courses at the School of Applied Arts. He was the pupil of Lucien Simon in Paris in 1923, and then worked with Jenő Paizs Goebel in Barbizon. He worked in Nagybánya from 1928 onwards, and in the Szentendre artist colony from 1929. He lived in Rákoshegy from 1933, where the man-made, industrial environment and the intimate sphere of human life provided him with subjects for his pictures.
