Böhm, Pál 1839 - 1905
In a career that took off to an interesting start, he first worked in stage design, going on to study altar and portrait painting, before teaching himself by copying what he found in Viennese galleries. He settled in Arad and opened an Academy, where László Paál was one of his students. He lived in Pest from 1867, and in Munich from 1871, where his genre paintings were sought by buyers. He was in Szolnok a number of times from 1871 to 1873, but worked primarily for the commercial art market upon his return to Munich.
