Basilides, Sándor 1901 - 1980
All four of the Basilides children were encouraged to pursue artistic careers, two of them went on to become painters. he graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1928 and exhibited his work, partly as member of the Society of Spiritual Artists, from 1925. He won a Rome scholarship in 1934. He taught from 1938 on and became a founder of the Art Pedagogue's Studio and the artist teacher colony of Vörösberény.
