Bán, Béla Budapest, 1909 - 1972, Tel-Aviv
From 1925 to 1928 he trained under Ferenc Helbing at the Academy of Applied Arts, then under Gyula Rudnay at the Academy of Fine Arts between 1928 and 1930. From 1934 he was elected as a member of the Group of Socialist Artists, in 1943 of KUT, then from 1946 to 1948 of the European School. In 1947 he went on a study trip to Paris where he participated in the Surrealist World Exhibition. From 1947 to 1956 he was a member of the Szentendre artists colony. In the first half of the 1950s he taught at the Academy of Applied Arts. He lived in France from 1956, then in Argentina and from 1963 in Israel.
